Phi Lambda Sigma is the international pharmacy leadership society. Our mission is to support pharmacy leadership commitment by recognizing leaders and fostering leadership development.

Mary L. Euler Lifetime Leadership Award

PURPOSE OF AWARD

The Mary L. Euler Lifetime Leadership Award, supported by a generous gift from Proctor and Gamble, is given annually to an individual who has exemplified leadership qualities in support of the pharmacy profession. The recipient will be recognized for their role in mentoring, coaching, or guiding future or current leaders to positively impact the advancement of the pharmacy profession.

NUMBER OF AWARDS

One (1) recipient annually which will receive an engraved plaque which is presented during the PLS Awards Ceremony and a $1,000 monetary award. The award recipient will be given the opportunity to make a brief address during the awards event.

ELIGIBILITY

Nominations are sought annually for the Mary L. Euler Lifetime Leadership Award. Nominators are encouraged to address the applicant’s impact on the profession through mentoring, coaching, and supporting leaders and through advocacy work, committee work, or other areas. The individual need not be a pharmacist or a current member of Phi Lambda Sigma. Honorary membership will be bestowed upon non-member recipients. The nominator is responsible for completing the nomination form and submitting the letters of recommendation and CV.

The nomination packet is to include the following items:

A current CV
Three (3) letters of recommendation, one letter written by the nominator
Nomination form

NOMINATION DEADLINE & SELECTION PROCEDURE

The deadline to apply is February 9th at 11:59pm PST annually. The selection is made by the PLS Awards Committee based upon review of completed materials.

Clinical Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Director of the Wigner Institute for Advanced Pharmacy Practice, Education and Research at West Virginia University School of Pharmacy.
