The Leader Academy
The PLS Leader Academy is a leadership program designed for strong advocates for both pharmacy leadership and the profession of pharmacy. The program utilizes GiANT’s self-awareness process of understanding your personality to the highest degree, while implementing tools to help strengthen your EQ and become more effective in areas such as communication, time management, influence and executive.
Each selected participant will be placed into one of two different Academies consisting of 12-15 highly motivated collegiate and professional members from around the nation. These Academies are the foundational components of personal development and growth. Inside these groups are where participants face a high level of support and challenge as they begin growing and expanding their leadership capacity.
Each Academy meets with a trained PLS Leader Academy facilitator every other week for 50 minutes minutes via Zoom for approximately five (5) months. Each session involves a guided learning experience utilizing various tangible leadership tools. These simple, yet powerful, tools help each participant increase his or her influence both professionally and personally. These sessions give participants the opportunity to learn the tools and practice implementing them on a daily basis in any circles of influence. The more you use the tools for communicating, the more you will be able to understand, explain and teach the tools to help yourself and others become liberating leaders by communicating more effectively. Individuals will also meet 1-on-1 with the facilitator throughout the Academy duration.
The Leader Academy is designed to help good leaders become great leaders by helping individuals become fully aware of what it is like to be on the other side of themselves and adjust accordingly.
As Phi Lambda Sigma aims to train leaders from around the nation in order to further our mission and support our members, Phi Lambda Sigma will provide all costs associated for participants through participation in this program. Participants will have no financial obligation and are not responsible for any fees associated. Participants are expected to actively participate in at least 80% of the biweekly meetings during the program.
